Date : Ches the 2nd, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.) Location : On a path in the Lizard Marsh, The Duchy of Daggerford
The passage through the lizard marsh is much the same as before, high reeds and plants block any far veiwing. However, the Tressym, Here seems to allow you to avoid quicksand and a pair of mated giant lizards. Who you let pass before you, without causing any trouble.
Myr and Kirdan push ahead on a path which follows the edge of a large hillock to the left. To your right is water as far as you can see, and it looks deep. Noticing some small movement to the side of them, the pair at the front are suddenly confronted by six heavily armed Lizard men dressed in red pelts and Baldricks. The Lizard Man at the front holds out his hand stopping the pair in front and beckoning the others to come closer.
He speaks in broken common "I wisssssssh to ssssspeak to your Chief."
OOC- Movement seems to be occuring on the left hand side of this path. The right has water. Suggesting that there may be more lizard men in the bushes at the side....

"ZERIC!" hissed Cathmhaol, pointing at the movement in the bushes before nodding upwards in the direction of the mage's familiar, "What can you see?"

Alzhedo whispered to the others, "There are Lizardmen all around, they have us surrounded. " He held his staff ready for combat.

Tensing, Throgbur's hands went white on the haft of the huge greataxe, its head broader than his own shoulders.
In a hiss he whispered "Stay behind me, brother..." and stepped before him. If anything came to his brother, it would have to get through some serious weight first.

Cathmhaol scowled at Zeric, cursing under his breath. He looked around and muttered, "Close up! Watch each other's backs!"
Raising his voice, he addressed the lizardman who had spoken, "Come forward and state yer purpose!"

"Ye have anything t' do wi' that?"

"Redeye tries to avoid contact with humanssssssss. Humansssss troublesss. " As the leader speaks another lizardman steps foward and jabbers something in a language you do not understand.
"The Blue Feather tribe are ressssssponssssssible. They are followerssss of SSSSSSSSSakatha, an ancient King of our people. He wasssss a cruel leader." The Lizardman stops.
"You can ssseek out the Blue Feather tribe for revenge. The Red Fern Tribe will not stop youuuu. Redeye will allow you to go." With these words the Lizard man makes a signal and the lizardmen lowertheir weapons slightly.

Zeric stepped forward, empty-handed, waving his brother back. He walked up to the apparent leader of the lizardmen, and spoke in a confident, but respectful tone, "I am Zeric, Shaman of the humans of Daggerford. I will have your name, o wise and blessed warrior. "
Zeric listened to the Lizardman's reply, "The loud hairy human speaks the truth, although he lacks somewhat for civility. We seek the Blue Feathers. They have made war upon our kind and have killed a great man of ours. We have no quarrel with the Red Fern. Will you tell us the location of the Blue Feathers? And perhaps, tell us more of the Ancient King Sakatha?"

Cathmhaol was about to speak when he was rudely interrupted by Zeric. He scowled at the young mage as he waited for the lizardman to reply. OOC:

Visibly tensing so his hands almost broke the haft of his axe when his brother stepped forward, Throgbur again visibly shifted stance to a relaxed one when they showed some reverance to him.
"Shaman? Wow. I never noo dat." he scratched at his head.
As they prepare to set off, Throgbur stands beside his brother. "When you become shaman, Zed?"

Zeric shook his head at the cretinous remark from his brother, he spat the comment out, "If you had as much brain in your head as you do shit in your arse, brother, you'd know that a shaman and sorceror are one and the same to primitives! Idiot!"
He stalked off, calling silently for Here to return, admonishing the winged cat for missing both recent encounters.

Cathmhaol gave a short whistle and beckoned Zeric towards him. "Oh wise shamen", he said sarcastically, "ye might want to wait for the fighters t' go first, particularly as yer flyin' pussy can't see a huge bloody lizard in front o' its face!"
With that, he waved Kirdan and Myr onwards down the path. "An' keep yer eyes open this time!" he called after them.
