Cathmhaol gave a short whistle and beckoned Zeric towards him. "Oh wise shamen", he said sarcastically, "ye might want to wait for the fighters t' go first, particularly as yer flyin' pussy can't see a huge bloody lizard in front o' its face!"With that, he waved Kirdan and Myr onwards down the path. "An' keep yer eyes open this time!" he called after them. ooc: Sorry, what I should have said was that Zeric stalked off across the clearing... He has absolutely no intention of blazing any trails!

OOC- The next encounter is the final encounter in this advenure. Ill update the final battle when I get home to my notes. As the Familiar has been a bit useless Im giving you the hop on the lizardmen in the encounter.

OOC: Yes... can't help but agree with Phil there, Harv... Still, it's the barbarian way, I suppose. OK, down to business. What's their numbers & disposition, so I can relay that information to some people who have some knowledge of what to do with it (that is, the combat types...) Once we've done that, I vote for aidentifying their leader, taking him out with a combination of Magic Missiles and arrers/missile weapons and then converging on the rest in the confusion of them being leaderless... (again, that is, the fightery types - Zeric will cheer you all on, of course (well, I say cheer, but I do mean silenty, lest he get attacked, of course! ;D) Any other suggestions? Anybody?

Date : Ches the 2nd, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.) Location : A clearing in the Lizard Swamp Time : MidafternoonAhead is the camp of the lizardmen, in a large clearing. The area is dominated by a large tree and a large stone nearly 20ft high. There are four lizardmen gathered around the a heap of household items that have been dumped on a wall hanging underneath the tree. The lizard men are examining the objects with intense curiosity; that they clearly have no idea what to do with them. A few yards away is another pile of swords, shields and various pieces of armour. On top of the stone are two other lizard men supposedly on watch, but these two are far to absorbed in the loot to be paying attention. Another six lizardmen are keeping watch to the north as if waiting on some form of attack from this direction. OOC-it seems like you have the lizard men on the hop, they are scattered like the diagram below.
There is deep water all around and tall reeds grow up throough this. The deep water would make sneaking up on the lizard men, almost impossible. The party is the X.

OOC: What's the distance from us to the lizardmen? Charging distance or do we need to close first? If it's too far for charge (over 60') then I think a good plan would be to stealth closer and THEN charge... in case they have missile weapons. I'm not saying Throg would agree, but OOC that's what seems like a good plan. However if it's charging distance, then bollocks, I'm in there

"Right then, me lads and lasses", whispered Cathmhaol, "Now's the time t' see what yer made of".
"I reckon we hit 'em from a distance and then we get in close an' finish 'em off. Question is, what ha' we got in the way o' bows? Or even..." and he looks at Zeric and Myr with a troubled frown, "... magic?"

OOC- Work on 100' - you could sneak closer if you need to - as the lizard men are more intent on loot than keeping watch. But Im pretty sure none of your NPC/PC selections are missile specialists....
Myr tossed her head provacatively " Firehair isnt a violent god, I can create a creature to attack them, thats about the best I can do."

"And I have magic missiles which never fail to hit their intended target. If you point out thir leader, if there is one, I can hit him with a few of those - keep him too occupied to bother with leading," Zeric offered. "My brother! You can let yourself rage in this fight. I will be fine; enjoy your freedom, you poor fool."
OOC: Zeric will crawl forward slowly when the others do so. (I'm not sure of the range of the MM spell... if it can go 100', then he'll stay where he is - much safer!

Throgbur bent in the middle a bit, making him about a foot shorter than he was. With axe dragging along the ground behind him, he "crept" forwards... As soon as he thought the enemy were within range, he roared and charged straight into the nearest pile of enemies...
