The lizardmen looks into you eyes confused yet very afraid. It makes repetitive noises, none of which you are able to understand at all.
The lizard men runs scared from the humans. Running in a northerly direction.
In the clearing under the tree there is two piles of items. The first pile under the tree contains household items; like wooden and earthern ware bowls and plates; metal knives and forks; wooden cups and mugs. These are everyday items that have been stolen from normal households.
The weapons and sheilds are also piled closely by, mostly longswords, spears and the odd handaxe. THe armour is mainly studded leather, which is cut and almost unuseable along with some wooden sheilds.
OOC- Great piece of roleplaying tho' Tom. Pity the lizard man doesnt speak common, though he probably got the message.
OOC 2 - Need to know everyone next actions, you have numerous dead lizardmen and two piles of items....

"Well done, lad!" boomed Cathmhaol, "We'll make a man o' ye yet!" and he clapped his hand painfully on Zeric's shoulder.
"Right ye lot!", he shouted, "We need to get this lot back t' town if ye want t' get paid. Ha' a look around an' see if ye can't find a cart ..."

Looking around Kirdan pointed to the body of a dead lizard man on the floor. Calling out to Cathmhaol "Boss, I dont think theres a cart but this one seems to be the leader. He has some sacks. But more imprtantly he has some keys or something. Think you should take a look?"

"Well spotted, m' lad", said Cathmhaol, rubbing his hands as he stepped across briskly.
He knelt next to the leader and carefully checked the body, patting it down until he found the keys. "Now then, what d' ye think these might be for...?"

The keys are ornate and could possibly be worth something by themselves. They are the only thing of value on the leader, tied to a leather band around his neck.
A ring of 12 keys. The ring is gold-plated, and there are three gold-plated keys; six tarnished, ornate silver-plated keys , and three electrum-plated keys. What they open, be it doors, chests or something else is unknown.

"Wonder what these are for ..." mused Cathmhaol as he weighed the keys in his hand. "Well, whatever it is, this guy won't be needin' em!" and he swiftly untied the band, refastening it around his own neck as he stood up. "Well done lad!" he said to Kirdan.
"Right then! Are we sorted? Grab what's decent o' that lot...", he points to the pile of weapons, "...an' we'll make tracks!"
OOC: Were there some sacks next to the lizard as well?

Without really thinking about what he was doing, Throgbur went over to the sacks, emptied out their contents on the ground, and began shoving anything that looked remotely decent amongst the weapons into said sacks.
If anyone gave him a funny look, he just looked up innocently and said "What?"

Zeric waited for the others to finish scavenging, then walked over to Cathmhaol, "Let me try something a moment, Cathmhaol..."
He began casting a spell which would reveal the magical properties of the keys to Zeric, (and any other item of Cathmhaol's possessions, for that matter...)

OOC- The keys are very fainlty magic. It is not cvlear what type of magic they exhude or their purpose, but they are magical. Nothing else in the pile nor on Cathmhaol or the others glows.
OOC 2 - What's next?

Cathmhaol scowled, his dislike and mistrust of magic writ large on his face. "Well?" he challenged the mage, "What did ye see?"

Zeric furrowed his brow, "I'm not sure... There is a magical aura, but it is very faint and I cannot tell exactly what it is. There is definitely something special about the keys."
OOC: I vote to return to the keep and give the widder the bad news... Then see what comes up next.

OOC- Ooooops, I forgot to mention this.....
In the pile of loot a ring can be seen by Zeric glowing strongly marking it out from the rest of the pile. The ring glows with a faint transmutation energy.

"Magic, eh?" He tugged at the leather to make sure the keys were secure, "Mebbe's we'll find out what they're for when we get back t' the keep".
He turned around to see what progress the others were making in gathering the loot to be met with the sight of Throgbur emptying the sacks out onto the grass.
"Are ye simple?!" he yelled at the half-orc, "We need t' get movin' an' you're just makin' more work!"
