"The problem is the terrain, without knowing the exact distances involved it could be over a hundred miles to Triboar and there is also the land we are traveling over, it wont be easy." commented Delora.
"if its a hundred miles, we are looking at night fall tomorrow. Then another 4 days or more to Waterdeep. At a guess its at least two days to Neverwinter and then a three day sea journey. Im sorry" she shook her head
"Its not easy to judge at all Going by land is fine, it will just be difficult in the woods and hills around here "

Zeric glanced apprehensively at the tower, then shivered visibly, "Look, can we just be off and argue about our route whilst putting distance between us and that place. I know I do not have the mental fortitude to succeed in besting the thing which dwells there once again. Please?"

<Rumbleskin>
Rumbleskin listened to the troubled mage with obvious concern in his eyes.
"You be right, young 'un. While Dace ther has put up a good case for overland - an' I never thought I'd hear mesel' say this on accounta the iron suit I wear - I reckon we'd be best on tha sea voyage for yon mage. Three days o' him havin to do nowt but get sea legs, rest and recouperate'd probably do him more good than traipsin' through tha' woods an' such.
"In any event I'm easy an' I'll go wi' tha lot o' ye iff'n ye'd have me as travellin' companion fer a while more. We just needs move fro' this accursed place"

Dace looked with concern at Zeric, then to Cathmhaol.
"Five days, depending upon weather." He nodded. "Sea is our best bet. Even with a day for layover if there's no ships, it's our best option."
He then left the discussion and went out to the horses.

Zeric fixed each of them with a chilling gaze, "Look! I am not some decrepit old man, to be mollycoddled into an early grave! Let us cut the non-productive windbagging and get the nine hells out of this place before those shadows return. I care not HOW we get to Waterdeep, merely that we begin the journey berfore I am in my dotage!"
With that, he jerked the door open and walked out to the stables, leaving the rest to their debate.

Cathmhaol looked after the departing mage and sighed heavily. "Neither journey has much t' favour it but we'll go t' Neverwinter an' then on by boat," he said. "Better that we can be in town in two days than wanderin' the wilderness f' five."
He stepped over to the horses, running his hands over the animal's neck, his lips moving as if he was whispering reassurances to the animal.
He let his hand fall and turned around. "I'll fetch Zeric. Be ready to leave when I return," he said, and left the stable in the direction of the house.

OOC: Hang on... I thought I left the house to go to the stables...? Now I'm confused.

OOC: I thought we were in the stables so when you left, you went to the house?

OOC- Dont think it matters too much I had some people out and I think Dace was specifically in the stables.

OOC: Ah, whatever!
Zeric returned to the others after a short time.
"Coming?" he asked acidly.

Cathmhaol looked at Zeric with a raised eyebrow, but said nothing. He walked over to one of the horses, and swung his pack up of the creature's flanks, making sure it was securely fastened.
He took the reins and lead the animal from the barn before pausing and looking back, "C'mon then," he said, "The last 'un at the bar at Ne'erwinter is payin' f' the drinks!" Without another word, he pulled himself onto the horse's back and nudged the horse forward.

Zeric, decrying one of the elven horses, mounted up on the calmest-looking mare and prepared to follow Cathmhaol when the rest of the party were ready.

Leaving the small hamlet behind them the adventurers, rode the elven steeds at some pace hoping to get as far away form the shade hold. The nervousness of Zeric seeming to infect the others, the unease of the village traveling with them the further they went.
After a couple of hours the feeling in the woods is still one of unease. Almost unnatural the feeling in the forest, even although its now 15 or so miles away from the village. Stopping in a clearing in the woods, the teenage warrior, Delora got out some of the food she had prepared earlier. handing out the food to the others. The clearing in the woods was almost devoid of life. But at least the rain had stopped.

Doing a circuit around the clearing, Dace checked for signs of recent passing such as disturbed earth, broken blades of grass and twigs, before returning and squatting down to warm his hands by the fire.
