Eneval studied the exchange between these party members, trying to guage some idea of the nature and intention of these people. "Sadly we know very little of this Wizard. It has taken us a very long time to find any trace of said Wizard; In all honesty my friends, we're not even sure who he is" Our interest in the wizard is in finding out if there is some way south that does not involve riding Shank's Mare... We know only a vague piece of lore that I read once. We, as I have stated, have been fighting for our lives against drow in the Underdark and have only recently managed to escape at the cost of two of our valiant comrades, but I'll fill you in on what I know and you can decide for yourself if it is relevant to you," the young man said. Zeric offered what information he had on the identity of the wizard, " His name may be Melgaunt; from what little I have heard of him, he resides in a small settlement in Neverwinter Woods... His area of expertise is rumoured to be the planes surrounding Faerun. Now, this may be the residence of Melgaunt, or it may be another wizard's tower - I cannot say until I have met him or her..." He looked for any sign from the elf that he recognised the name or the story, " So what exactly is the elves interest in the wizard - or is your quest of a more personal nature? Although you do speak of an 'us..."

Eneval had thought and prayed hard on the nature of truth, it was clear to him that these people were truthful and being honest with him.
Indeed there is an us. I am a man of faith, I think the humans would refer to me as a "cleric". My search for this man is both personal and one of faith.
Whoever this Wizard is, they managed to wonder into my homelands and leave unnoticed. This is reason to know more of them.]

"Ah, good," replied Zeric. "If it is not too im[ertinent a question, might I ask your patron diety? The sunlight is behind you, sir and I cannot, therefore, discern the nature of any holy symbol you may be wearing."

Not at all replied Eneval. I worship the Goddess Angharradh, The Queen of Arvandor

Zeric searched for some memory* of the deity, " Of course! The Triple Goddess? Then may Unity and Diversity bring Strength to your endeavours, Eneval. Forgive me if I seem ignorant of your Goddesses' ways, but it seems the Faerunian pantheon is brimming over with Gods and Goddesses that it is sometimes difficult to recall all the details fully..." OOC: Thanks to the FR Wiki...

OOC: Thanks to the FR Wiki... OOC- Sly! that should have been a roll on your knowledge religion skill as the god is a little obscure and an aspect of all the female gods of the elven pantheon.
No need to worry about all those gods as in 4th ed they are going to be reduced wqith the minor ones becoming saints.

<Rumbleskin>
The rusty dwarf stood kicking his feet in the dirt road to the sound of the leg bands of his armor rubbing against each other...
Looking up, he asks:
"Well, where be the next fight or drink? Right now I need to be eitha movin' or sleepin' ..."

Warming to Zeric by the moment, Eneval smiled "There is no need for apologies my friend. My people understand that the world does not revolve around us alone. Do I sense that perhaps, in seeking this person, we have a shared purpose?
Turning to the dwarf Eneval replied There will be much time for fighting my friend, of that I have no doubt. Perhaps a drink is in order?

OOC: I did mention it at creation.. honest. OOC: There's thousands out there as wouldn't believe you, you know... Zeric smiled in return, " It does seem we may indeed have a common goal for the moment. What say you, Cath? Rumbleskin? Dace? Delora? Shall we enjoy a drink with this fellow? And perhaps discuss this common purpose?"

Delora replied without a hint of irony, "After the deaths we need some extra sword arms."

Zeric turned to the rest of his companions, "What say the rest of you?"
He called over his shoulder, "And you Dace? What is your opinion on the matter?"
