Eneval noted this strangers hand move and his stance and stepped back.
"By no means. I have given my name freely Sir, might I ask yours?"

Zeric stood by warily, remembering the Dagger's prior experience with an elf. It had made him suspicious of their kind... Although he had no reason to mistrust the stranger, by the same token, he had no reason to trust him and bitter experience taught a harsh lesson.
He waited patiently for the newcomer to continue in response to Cathmhaol, subtly drawing upon the weave and feeling the high that came along with sampling such raw magical energy as he prepared to turn the energy into a spell if needs be.
OOC: Welcome, mister elf! ;D

OC: Well, assuming nothing is found of interest at the inn, Rumbleskin woudl be heading back out about now I guess...
If he sees what's going on, he'd stomp over, rusty mail squeeling all the way

OOC:
That was my take too; I'm assuming because we found nothing, we'd be leaving the inn.
Actually, PM on its way, Paul.

"I am Cathmhaol, leader o' this band o' travellers," replied Cathmhaol, "Ye'll ha' t' forgive my suspicions, f' somethin' is afoot here, an' we've no way o' tellin' how yer involved".

"Well met Cathmhaol" smiled Eneval Your suspicions are understood , as it is clear you too are here for a reason. Mine is not to obstruct you I assure but on an erand for my people. I seek to locate a Wizard, a Wizard who has troubled my family

Zeric paid little heed to Dace, instead keeping his attention fixed upon the elf. He spoke up, "So, friend. What brings you to these parts? And for that matter, where exactly are these parts? What is the current date?"
He continued to stave off questions of absurdity, "I know, I sound like a raving fool. However, the aforementioned battle again' the drow did not go our way an' we were forced to flee through a handy portal, constructed for that very purpose. As it seems that we have travelled physically in space - to the tune of several hundred miles north of our starting point - it occurs to me that we may also have journeyed through the realm of time... So, please humour me and provide an answer."

Eneval paused, considering what he'd been told. Such sorcery was not unheard of but neither were tall stories.
When are we? It is Ches the 11th, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.) by your reckoning friends. And where? We are Neverwinter Woods, between Neverwinter and Triboar

Dace stood around waiting, neither caring nor worrying about being observed or unobserved. He was more curious as to whether or not the Elf travelled alone.
Dropping to one knee, he began examing the tracks in the area, seeing if he could determine whether or not the Elf had any companions.

Zeric nodded, obviously relieved, " Good! So it's a bare three days since we entered the caverns, Cath... Thank you, Eneval. Perhaps I will make a tale of our adventures, although our presumably fallen companion, Bregl, would have done a more artful job..."

Cutting off Zeric's ramblings, Cathmhaol said, "So what d' ye know o' this wizard? We found a stallion an' some other horses in yonder stables. Reckon the men who came on the horses may be dead but the wizard's horse is still bein' looked after..."

Eneval studied the exchange between these party members, trying to guage some idea of the nature and intention of these people.
"Sadly we know very little of this Wizard. It has taken us a very long time to find any trace of said Wizard; In all honesty my friends, we're not even sure who he is"
