OOC- Are Berlin women stupid? Is that why you are going? No problem. I have a massive update to do, but Im snowed under at work. So hopefully by the time you come back, there'll be something decent written. If any one doesnt have a problem, Ill hold fire on that till Kev comes back. Its sporadic at the moment. I really need to move you on from this village. Its like youve been stuck here for ages. Also during my calculations for Zerics spells, he hasnt slept since late december!!!! ;D

The adventurers watched as shadow upon shadow came out the tower, first a dozen or so, then a dozen more. Dozens of shadows left the tower filling the spaces between the buildings, almost a throng. How many shadows were there? No one could really tell. But it was far too many to fight.
They clattered on the door, their shadow like claws tearing at the wood, it coming away in splinters. An eerie noise came out from the tower like, world being ripped apart. A noise that none of the adventurers have ever heard and hope never to hear again and the shadow creatures all stop and start to sway as if some sort of trance. As if shadow creatures could really sway in time to some sort of strange dark music.
As if the impossible happens the tower grows even darker and the creatures move to form a path between them. The path could be five maybe ten feet wide allowing a larger shadow that made its way out of the comparatively small door of the tower, its height nearly ten feet high and it has an almost human face. Standing at the door it spoke, it voice like death itself shouting reverberating around the whole of the village.
"Humansss, my name is unimportant, But let it be known that I control these shadows and I will give you my word they will not attack. I sense a dark one in your midst, a man whose been researching our kind. A man who controls the weave, he must appear. That is the price for your life, the sorcerer in your midst I require him."
OOC- actions...

Zeric commented, "He must be mad... 'dark one', indeed! I shall go to him, if it will appease the shadows and keep all of you safe. Wait for me - I shall return in my own time."
With that, he stepped up to the door confidently, head held high. He touched the end of his staff, as though brushing an unseen mote of dust off it.
"Well?" he said, "Open the door and we shall see what he wants..."

"Are ye sure, Zeric?" said Cathmhaol, making no move to open the door. "If'n ye want us t' stand an' fight, then ye just need t' say the word."

"Personally," muttered Dace, "I reckon it should be all for one..." He shrugged. "But I don't like those bastards."

"Personally," muttered Dace, "I reckon it should be all for one..." He shrugged. "But I don't like those bastards." The young sorceror then nodded to the caravan guard, " I feel that the word given is genuine. Mind my bar for me, will you Dace?" He drew a deep breath, steeling himself for the walk to the tower, " Open the door." " Here is a parting gift. It should give you thirty minutes or so - just in case!" Zeric then cast a spell upon the table in the centre of the room. A bright light filled the room.

OOC:
If Dace found any mirrors from upstairs, then he turns his back on the departing sorcerer and begins positioning them around the room to provide the best light.
If not, well then he busies himself at the bar, just realigning the bottles for the sake of having something to do.

Zeric opened the door to the Inn, the shadows lined up a few feet apart, their insubstantial forms masking the trees all around the the buildings. Delora rebolted the door, propping some furniture against it for added security.
Watching from the inside the Inn the large shadow, its contorted, almost human face smiling or was it sneering at the young sickly sorcerer. Motioned for him to follow him into the tower. Following on silently Zeric disappeared from the view of the others in the Inn, within moments the shadows closed filling the spaces between the buildings standing in silence swaying slightly, watching the Inn, waiting for something.

"I'm no sure that was the right thing t' do, but there's nowt we can do but wait," said Cathmhaol, quietly closing and bolting the door. "Let's get this barricaded again an' keep an eye out f' Zeric returnin'." He stood looking pensive, obviously concerned for the young wizard.
