OOC- Im assuming your using a lantern, as its dark to see (as no one has yet mentioned using one given the time of day)

Feeling her way around the cave. Nimen calls Dace over with the Lantern every now and then with the words
"Over here, Over here I may have found something. I need that Lantern to look closer"
Only for it to be nothing. After 10 minutes or so of searching she gives up with the words
"I dont think there is anything here."

Zeric called to the others, "Look here! What in the nine hells can this mean?"
He indicated a small inscription on the wall, a snake's head pierced by a dagger, inside an oval. The whole thing bordered by a diamond shape, "Does anyone recognise that sigil?"

Nimen walks forward looks at the sigil, traces her finger around the outside of it.

Cretin! Zeric thought to himself, "What she is saying is - now listen carefully - she... does... not... know... what... it... is..."
He turned away from the scout, back to the cavern as a whole, "I wonder...?"
He began chanting to himself softly as he invoked the magical energy of the weave to himself. He released the gathered energy, directing it to reveal any magical energy within the cavern, paying particular attention to the mark on the wall.

1. A glow forms around the cloak on Nimens.
2. A glow forms on the arrows in Nimens Quiver.
3. A glow forms on Nimens Boots.
4. A glow forms around Dace's sword in his left scabbard
5. The ring Cathmhaol wearing (I think - Baron Cromms ring?) glows
6. The potions that the red wizards gave you, glow.
7. The ring that vane got from inside the ghast, glows.
So the question is where do you want to focus the spell as the cone of the spell affect lasts for about 3-5 minutes!
Zeric focus' the magic of the weave, passing what looks to him a cone of white energy around the room. Around the cave, the cone passes, invisibly to those standing in there. Until it hits an object thats imbibed with magic and the object then glows with a white light. Starting at the symbol that he originally found, he focuses the energy on it. Trying to force it to reveal its secrets. Nothing comes of it, so he passes the cone around the room. Passing across the Elf maiden, her boots, cloak and arrows reveal a glow when he the energy passes over them. Next to her is Dace and his sword in his left scabbard is reveals a glow when it is passed over, then over Cathmhaol and his ring which also glows. Finally the cone passes over Vane and a glowing seems to come from his pouch, which he opens in amazement revealing the silver ring he obtained from the Ghast. |

As an afterthought, he added to Vane, "Consider that your one and only free spell from me - that item in your pouch is magical. I cannot tell the nature of the magic; merely that it has some enchantment or other. Now whether said enchantment will make you irresistable to the opposite sex (although that would be a powerful enchantment) or turn you into a raving zombie, I know not - you shall have to find out for yourself, Vane Harumphthal. Why do you not try it on?"
He concentrated all the while on the cone of magic and whatever it may reveal.

He scuffed at the floor with the toe of one boot, looking for something, anything that would give them a clue as to what was going on.
He peered into the darkness of the far end of the cave. "Bring that light o'er here, lad..." he muttered to Dace as he moved into the corner, "There's summat not right here..."
