Kirdan replied "Yeah. Boss maybe it'd be an idea to post guards at all day and night in the Hold? Might make intruders think twice about coming in and out. Eh?"

Kirdan replied "Yeah. Boss maybe it'd be an idea to post guards at all day and night in the Hold? Might make intruders think twice about coming in and out. Eh?" OOC: Oops, bit of an obvious oversight by the sergeant there. Must remember to discipline him!

Cathmhaol passed the note to Zeric. "I woke up wi' this on m' chest. Looks like we've a visit to make..."Zeric took the note and gave it a once-over, " Hmm... 'The Bortherhood'... Who the hells are they?"

OOC: I've no idea who the 'Bortherhood' are but they're not really my concern - it's the 'Brotherhood' I'm after.... ;D"The Brotherhood are the red wizards", replied Cathmhaol, wondering if Zeric had been paying attention to anything he'd told him the night before. "Looks like we need t' check out the Wizard's Hold..." "An' while we're on the subject o' the note, it was left here in the middle o' the night. Anyone could've breezed in here 'cause we didn't set any guards. Don't make the same mistake again, aye?"

"I shall see it does not happen again, Cathmhaol," Zeric replied with some resentment apparent in his voice.
"As if it is my fault you are such an idiot that you are so deep in your cups that you neglect the basic necessities... Call yourself a leader? Your time will come, warrior..." he kept these thoughts to himself as he turned to the business at hand.
"Throgbur!" he summoned his half-witted brother.
When the half-orc presented himself, Zeric dealt him a blow to the head with the butt of his shortspear.
"Cathmhaol says you are an idiot." he hissed quietly to his brother, "You forgot to set a guard rota, Sergeant. You are to be demoted to corporal forthwith. I take no pleasure in this, dear brother. Cathmhaol insisted."

OOC: Serves me right for taking the piss out of Tom's typo! "Right, now that's sorted, we need t' decide on our course o' action", said Cathmhaol, "We've the Wizard's Hold t' visit an' we need to see what's holdin' up the merchants. Her ladyship ain't gonna be too happy if they ain't coming into town". He scratched his chin and thought about it for a moment, "I suggest we see what's holdin' up the merchants first or we can kiss goodbye t' our billet here. What d' ye reckon, Zeric?"

ooc- The Botherhood could be a decent name Munching on some oats, Kirdan looked up from his bowl of breakfast. "Wizard's Hold isnt that far away from here. Probably less than a couple of miles. You could get there and back within half a day or maybe a couple of hours."

Cathmhaol shook his head. "Why don't you tell me this stuff afore I make plans for the day?" he said to Kirdan. He waved away his protest and continued, "Right, so Wizard's Hold is only a couple o' miles away... we'll go take a look there first, agreed?"

" That would be agreeablt, Cathmhaol," Zeric inclined his head in assent. OOC: "Agreeablt?" said Cathmhaol, wondering how Zeric had managed to get so pissed so early in the morning. "Well, we're only going f' a look around..." he said, "so I'll be takin' Zeric, Throgbur, Yerself an' Garri. Maybe's Myr as well - Sir Kendrick can keep an eye on things here, assumin' he can keep his eyes off the ladies!"

Date : Ches the 5th, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.) Location : Wizard's Hold Time : Early Morning Weather: Snowing lightly
The Red Wizards enclave is a large fenced compound over 250 feet in length and 150 feet wide. The fence is 4 feet high and made of pairs of cut-off logs set 10 to 20 feet apart. Six wooden platforms are set into the fence, each accessed by a ladder. The platforms have 3 foot high walls providing cover to whover is on the platforms.
The compound itself is open and contains five buildings, a few trees and a well. The entrance to the enclave is opposite a small booth which has a guard and a person in robes occupying it. Another guard controls the compound whilst a third occupies one of the platforms.
As the six of you enter through the gates the Wizard in the booth, says
"Welcome guests. What can we at Wizards Hold supply for you on this cold morning."
