Zeric removed his hand from Throgbur's arm, "Now this does change things somewhat..."
He picked up a bottle from the table, holding a candle and pitched the bottle at the wizard's head, before ducking down beneath the table.
OOC: In for a penny, cower for a pound.

"Should ha' let me handle it!" scowled Cathmhaol angrily at Zeric.
"GENTLEMEN!", he said loudly as he stood up, "Now that m' colleague has got yer attention, let's try t' sort this out amicably, shall we?"
He stepped forward, sword ready but not threatening. "Darryl has told ye what happened t' yer friend, so there's no need f' any o' this, eh?"

The bottle crashed off Millgan's head and Cathmhaol's challenge diverted the Red Wizards' attention towards them. "Your a pair of hard men I see. With a half orc and all. You can hide behind the monster, eh? My argument is not with you, we need to find out what has happened to our colleague. Other wise you all could be in trouble." He pointed to Cathmhaol "You have just stuck your nose where it is not wanted stranger."

"My incorrigible friend here may ha' been a bit hasty in gettin' yer attention", said Cathmhaol coolly, "But ye are threat'n a friend o' ours and that makes it our business".
He held up his hand disarmingly, "Now, I'm not after a fight so let's just sort this out and we can all relax, eh?"

"Well, hard men, I have a different proposal for you. How about I give you two days to find out what happened to our colleague or we take out our revenge on your friend and this Inn. So you and your freinds have 2 days to come to our enclave on the west of the town, between here and a hamlet called Cromm's Hold with either our colleague or his body. Understand." The Red wizard continued, went to leave and chuckled "And the Ward. Yes the Ward, hah hah hah. Will only work INSIDE the Inn. Imagine what six or more Red Wizards can do to the Inn from the outside."

Zeric whispered from his hiding place behind the table, "He's right Cathmhaol, the ward will only work inside the inn. If they sling, say, a few fireballs at the outside, then the fire will take. Ward or no ward..."

Cathmhaol watched the wizards leave. "Ye don't say!" he scowled at Zeric. "Ye've got us into a right mess! How are ye proposin' t' keep an eye on Cromm's Hold and find this Cadzeus fellow? Eh?!"
He stepped across the bar and looked Darryl in the eye, "Looks like we're in this one t'gether! Ye better tell me what ye know..."

"Well OK, its a bit more complicated than you think. Basically the Red wizard isnt the only person whose gone missing recently. Two young men have gone missing in Daggerford recently. They just disapeared completely. Both were last seen in this Inn, courting with a tall dark haired woman. Then they left with her. They haven't been seen since. Disapeared into the night almost under the eyes of everyone. Now this seems to have happened since the Wizards came to town now it wouldnt surprise me if someone or someones decided to abduct the Wizard as a form of revenge. Stupid. Yes. Understandable. Definately." Replied Darryl

"So who's the woman? And who were the men who disappeared?" ask Cathmhaol.

"The two men were called Talf and Ellonn. Both were labourers who worked in the Markets running errands and helping out Blacksmiths. They were both with this woman, who has never really been seen in the town before. I'm sure she's not from the town." He paused took a swig of ale, drumming his fingers on the bar. Before continuing on "I think she arrived at the same time as the Wizards set up their enclave. But they are not to be trifled with, my guess is that some of the young men have taken it upon themselves to avenge their missing freinds. But the town and this Inn deserve better."

Cathmhaol returned to the table and sat down. He quickly filled in the others on what Darryl had told him.
"Garri, ye better get yersel' out an' about an' see what ye can find out about these two lads. Maybe an idea if Throgbur goes w' ye in case there's any trouble".
"Zeric, ye'll come w' me. We'll get the company set up - the Company o' the Dagger, I think - an' we'll charge Darryl for savin' his inn!"
"Everyone ok w' that?"

Zeric really did not relish the prospect of tangling with the Red Wizards of Thay, not yet anyway... He had read and heard too many legends to trifle with them, "Aye, Cathmhaol, fine by me. I'd say, Cathmhaol, that we'd better get this innkeeper tied down to some kind of contract before we promise to 'save the inn'. What say you, Throgbur? Shall we be the Company of the Dagger and undertake our first contract?"

Garri spoke, "Y'know I bet theres been hundreds of groups called the Company of the Dagger. Just seems a bit plain to me. Howzabout Cromm's Daggers or the Daggers of Cromm. " Garri paused slighlty and scratched his head, "WOW who'd have thought. Red Wizards. Bloody brave"

OOC: Damn, Throgbur would have charged as the bottle left Zeric's hand. Too late now. Someone can decide where he's going then
