Passing through the Farmers Gate, your on Farmer's Road heading in a southerly direction. There are a number of building of interest on this road including
The Happy Cow This pleasant tavern stands just inside the gate. It features blended beer made by the owner, Fulbar Hardcheese, that tastes like almonds and excellent sharpcrumble cheese made on Fulbars family farm. The Cow caters to farmers, who sit nursing tankards at all hours.
The Farmers Society This large Guildhouse is more than just a meeting place for farmers. They congregate here to discuss crop rotation techniques, decide whos going to plant what, how much crops should be sold for, how big of a crop should be grown (so as not to flood the market), and other agricultural and business concerns
The Grand Playhouse[/u] As Farmer's road turns in a dogleg, one of the largest structures in all of Daggerford, and it s also one of the least used. Originally designed to bring culture and civility to the small town. A maestro named Samous the Rapturous Songster purchased the land and had the huge structure built. When the building was completed, he hired a platoon of actors and aria-carting divas and tried bringing the plays made famous in the largest of cities to Daggerford. To say no one came to see the acting and singing is incorrect, but to say the seats were virtually empty is true. To say the least, Samous lost his shorts in the venture and had to close the theater doors. He moved on to better pastures, probably trying again but in a larger town. It's currently lying semi-derelict.
Harvest House[/u] Across the road from the Grand Playhouse is the Shrine to Chauntea, aslo known as Harvest House. Maerovyna presides over this large, stone establishment. This shrine to the Great Mother is of great importance to all the farmers and ranchers of the Daggerford area, as the priests spend their time fulfilling the needs of the community, including blessing fields and researching new plants.
As the Farmers Road ends it turns into Dukes Way, which has the following two building on it before opening up in the castle gates.
Ransarans Sergeant-at-Arms On the corner of Farmers Road and Duke Way is Ransaran's. Ransaran lives and works here, crafting exquisite and expensive armor and weapons for nobles and wealthy adventurers. His wares are expensive, but are well reknowned due to the quality of their construction. Ransaran's armor, shields, and weapons, can cost up to three times the normal price.
Moonglow Tower This is the largest religious center in Daggerford, directly supported by the duke and his family. It dominates the end of Dukes Way, just before the Dukes Castle. Liam Sunmist leads worship of this bright god of new beginnings and lends magical aid to those in need.
OOC- 1. Hopefully this gives some flavour of Daggerford and buildings you can or could visit, especially as youve spent winter here. You know the buildings quite well. 2. I dotn think you stated apart from the normal PC's who came with you. Can someone state who is here? Have you left the other Misfits at Cromm's? 3. When you drop her off at the castle, whats next?

OOC: We'll escort the Baroness to the Castle then we'll attend to re-provisioning i.e. Beer!! A couple of jars ought to go down nicely... though not at the 'Cow. The beer's fantastic but the clientele are the most stultifying bunch of dullards you're ever likely to meet. There must be another inn in the town, although Cathmhaol would rather avoid the barmaid he abruptly left, if he can help it...
I think we'll leave young Kirdan in charge, to be suitably guided by Al-whatisname, in our absense. The only NPC's we'll bring with us is young Garri, as we need to sort out his release as well as make sure he doesn't nick anything that isn't nailed down in Cromm's Hold.

Date : Ches the 3rd, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.) Location : The Duke Castle, Daggerford Time : Just after midday Weather: Sunny but cold[/u]
The Castle is a three-story stone keep on the hillside and is surrounded with a two-story stone wall. The rest of the town is built outside the castle walls, the ducal gate that leads to the city and is always open. Inside the courtyard are the duke's private parade grounds, a blacksmith shop, and a stables.
The Duke PWyll "Greatshout" Daggerford and his sister Brownwyn live in the Castle. Along with a number of men-at-arms and court reprasentatives.
In the courtyard of the Castle the Baroness, dismounts form her horse walks straight to the large Castle Doors. "My name is Baroness Lucretia Cromm, from Cromm's hold. My husband died in a LIzard man attak. I demand an audience with the Duke." She almosts shouts at the Guardsmen on the door. One of the Dukes elite guardsmen turns on his heel before running into the castle. A few minutes later he reappears a herald in tow, who ushers the Baroness inside. Turning to Cathmhaol, she says "Sergeant, you and your men are now free to do what you like. an you finish your business in town and be back here for Late Afternoon?"
OOC- Right thats everything done, its now up to you what you do. Though Id suggest Heralds and Runners Union - to register your adventuring company River Shining Tavern - Nobles Tavern Lady Luck Tavern - boisterous tavern Derval's Bright Blade - Good quality dwarf weaponmaker and smith Oleg's Weaponforge - half orc smith known to Throgbur
That should be enough to get going with, if you have an idea where youd like to go thats not above ask and Ill let you know. Locations are shown in the maps section roughhly....

"Aye well, if'n ye'd rather go an' handle the paper work at t' Union yersel', I'm sure ye wouldn't get any arguments from us", replied Cathmhaol sourly. "Besides, I wouldn't dream o' going to the inn wi'out ye". He grinned wolfishly at Zeric's disbelieving look, "Aye", he nodded, "It's yer round!"*
*Some jokes are just too good to keep to one board! ;D

"You may have a drink, Garri," Zeric said, "If you are old enough to wield your talents for the militia, then you are old enough to have a drink. It will be one cup of wine, though and only one cup. I'll be having Throgbur ensure that."
He then dignified Cathmhaol's stunt with a reply, "Aye, that is correct, but then it's your round. I will be keeping track of whos round it is in order that fairness to our charges is ensured. A written track."

Throgbur watched the banter about the drinking and frowned. "This seem familiar," he growled, then shook his head.
"Barman, I can drink ten pints... Bring me, ten pints."
He patted Garrion on the head and grinned broadly.
"I keep an eye on you, little pinky, so you don't get too drunk.", imagining his brother saying "But who'll keep an eye on y ou..."

"Bring yer quill an' paper, then!" he said to Zeric and headed off in the direction of the Lady Luck.

OOC- A description of Lady Luck? Sure no problem, with rumours The Lady Luck Tavern
This two-story former warehouse for a trading concern caters to soldiers and adventurers. Darryl Orcslayer was given the warehouse as a reward by the survivors of the trading family for slaying orcs who'd killed the owners in a raid. Darryl died some years ago, but his son, Owenden, presides over the tavern. It's a popular place for taletellers, soldiers, adventurers, and fun-seekers alike. The preponderance of weapons in the hands of those who know how to use them makes this a relatively safe drinking spot. The entire northeast wall of the taproom is covered by a huge, splendid color map of Faerûn, from Calimshan to the Spine of the World and from the Moonshaes to Raurin. News and rumors of treasure finds, dragon sightings, and possible treasures are eagerly discussed, as are tidings of war. Both levels have been opened into a single, lofty room with balconies all around it at varying levels. Each balcony contains a booth for patrons and is linked to at least two other balconies by broad flights of stairs. The tipsy are advised to get down to street level before they become too drunk to safely do so. In the center of the taproom is a massive stone pillar bearing the weight of the ceiling that has a adder of iron hooks up one side. The pillar is used to display the tattered shields, personal runes, and other mementos of patrons who've died in battle or disappeared while off adventuring or on military missions. Any toast given in the tavern must include a salute to the pillar and the words: "To those who have fallen before us. Those who bring the relics of fallen comrades are given a free drink."
The walls of the tavern are hung with weapons, armor, banners, spitted beast heads, and similar trophies of battle brought in by various patrons. The most striking of these is the huge, mummified wing of a black dragon slain in a volcano. The heat baked and dried its outstretched wing, and when an adventurerthe lone survivor of the party that slew it dared to return to the lair nine years later, he recovered not only the dragon's treasure hoard, but the wing. It now hangs over the taproom like a soft black canopy, suspended from the ceiling on eight chains. In the Lady, one drink always sits untouched on the bar. Its for Tymora herself, should she enter. Woe betide the visitor who touches this silver gobletejection and a forced offering at the shrine of Tymora are the least penalty. Visitors who object to this are likely to find a yard of steel through their middles in short order. Six people have so died, and more than a dozen have made offerings but twice in Owendens time, the goblet has been suddenly and silently wreathed in flame, and the wine within has vanished. Patrons believe Tymora herself drank with them. At least two wizards have hidden coins or magic somewhere in the Lady and then gone adventuring never to return. One was said to be an illusionist, the other a transmuter. A few people have tried to cast dispel magic on everyday tavern items on the theory that the treasure might be polymorphed or hidden by an illusion, thus far to no avail.
