Right we are coming to the end of the two adventures, Zeric & Throg on the trail of a rich man and Cathmhaol & Garri on the Red Wizards. As you have a large number of NPC's, Im finding it rather difficult running a huge number of npc's at the same time. So Id like your thoughts on 1. How do I run them better? 2. Do you mind if I limit the number you can take on each adventure/mission? Coz I am finding managing them a bit of a stuggle. Of course, there is the option of bringing in more players which will help. But how does one get some? especially as Beccy is out of comission for a few months. Who would fit as Myr!!! Thoughts DM

Depends what your plans are. We can leave some of them behind to look after the Baroness and take one or two with us if we go adventurin'!
I think you're doing a good job with the NPC's but appreciate that you might think you're not able to give them lots of personality if you're trying to run half a dozen.
As you're effectively running two games at once, it should be less of a strain when everyone's back together again.
Unless anyone from Harv's board wants to take part, I don't know where you'd recruit someone.

Oh thank you for the NPC compliment, but I am finding them difficult to make individuals. Though Ive tried to make them as different as possible.
2 games is tough I wont be making that mistake again, trying to keep them seperate is quite difficult. Youll be back together failry quickly anyway.
Plans for the future are for you to continue protecting Cromm's Hold. But will have a number of classic adventures, starting with the brilliant Bone Hill.

Actually I said starting....
There are two minor missions for the Baroness to do first!, once thos are done you'll go on and do my version of Bone Hill.
My eventual goal is to get the group into Undermountain, hopefully using Cromm's Hold as a base of sorts for that sort of mission. Though I guess youll need to setup some sort of Base of Operations in Cromm's Hold. I guess that your decision though

In further updates, due to time commitments Harv has pulled out of playing for the time being. Given that Ive been struggling with the NPC's Im now looking for more players coming in or existing players taking over some of the existing NPC's (Id look at Phil taking Garri and Tom taking over Throg, as a suggestion.) Ive got tons of ideas for adventures and the playing can continue, but Im now looking for some help in either running the NPC's or some other players coming in. So, thoughts?? DM

I don't mind if you want to tout on my site, Paul - I suspect Tim (Myrm) might join, possibly also Luzz, Tadin and Stonemole. You could get three or four from there.

I'm happy to run Garri although he is a useful source of info from the DM so you'd need to think about who would replace him in this role.
