Being the dynamic go getting guy I am... lol Ill be starting a new D&D campaign in the Autumn, based in the Calimshan Desert. This will have the Earth analogue of something akin to the Arabian Nights, so Ill be looking for semi-Arabic character types with a smattering of other races as well. At the moment Ill be looking for interest in Realms III and maybe a character idea or two. If enough people want to play Ill take it further, again it will be based in the Forgotten Realms in 1373DR and will use 3rd edition rules. So if your interested PM me or reply on the thread and Ill start my evil DM planning. Ive put out the same announcement on Harv's board, so please reply to one, Im a simple man....... Cheers Paul

Well as I said young Tom was something of an inspiration, though Id prefer having the Shinning South sourcebook.
Reading Races of Faerun gives some great insight into Calimshan, itd be interesting to see wizards and priests that have focus on fire spells. nIt could also be interesting to see a human party. Though some genasi (blood of genie's or efreeti) may be allowed.
Anyway, its currently an idea. If I get enough ayes, then Ill look to creating the campaign and move on from there. Theres enough evil genie, mummies, etc to fill a campaign .
Calimshan Knights? anyone?

OK thats the usual suspects. Tom Phil Harv Edd Now I will be looking at Calimshan desert and the Jungles of Chult so you get arabian and pulp adventures. Chult has dinosaurs etc, so roaming ruins could be good.

I know everyone reads both boards, but this is what I wrote on Harv's board to add some more colour in, give an idea what Im after. Also, as the usual suspect are playing it would be nice to see a little step outside the box and play a different class than you normally do

Hey Paul,
I checked my hard drive, and I've got The Shining South on PDF. I'll add it to a sharing folder and leave WLM online (connected) and you can download it from there.
