If your asking for advice I wouldn't put Maylene at the back, shes too vulnerable. In an ideal world youd want two heavy armours at the back.
You only have 2 and that would be Rumbleskin and Xand the priest. However you need Rumbleskin near the front, as he has darkvision and is a dwarf. Its an old dwarven Halls....
The other issue is that you have a number of people who have really good armour in the front (Dace, Garri, Maylene, ) who arent so great from the rear (oo-er).
Id also go with Harvs suggestion that Dace goes ahead 10-20 feet., he moves quick and silent in his drow armour. Keep Garri back, two many scouts are like cooks, they spoil the broth.
Such is the life of a leader, eh?

I pretty much agree with all of that. Dace won't like having anyone at his side, but needs someone within bow range at least - and bearing in mind that's quite close in a tunnel The other thing to bear in mind is Dace isn't a dungeoneer - if he sucks down below, then you might want to replace him. Heh, I said "sucks down below".

OK, we'll withdraw Garri and stick Xand at the back. Other than that, I don't see we've enough straight fighters to cover ourselves properly.

Has anyone noticed that they have a suit of magical armour, no ones picked up yet? Crossbows? etc...
Maybe you should split this stuff up (carrying the gems around as money - weighs less than coinage - in undermountain)
Link in my sig for ease!!

Dace wouldn't wear armour with lady-bumps in the front, but I can't speak for the dodgy looking Sorcerer.

Its not actually. It wasnt modified for her to wear, she had just thrown it on top. Though I cant see Dace giving up his drow black chain mail!!!

Questions...
(a) Would it fit Cathmhaol?
(b) Do we know what the enchantment is? I've had some unfortunate experiences of magical items before and I'd like to know what it does before Cath puts it on.

(a) OK, Cath'll take it. (b) I've got a crap memory. You can guarantee that anything you tell me I'll have forgotten 5 minutes later and (c) Use the cash to buy potions - any spare we'll change into gems - far easier to carry and/or hide up Zeric's arse if we get captured...

As Im adding to this thread I have some additional information. we have a new player and a return of an old one.
Firstly we have Garat, whose going to be played by Tom, a friend of Tom's. Ill be introducing his character in thread very soon (when I get home from the office) - its also I belive his first game of this type so be gentle with him - and you may have to think about your party order....
Secondly, Ive had a PM from Kev saying hes back and well. So the cleric is back!
Its great news as undermountian is tough. Watch out for those traps and up will have to watch out for traps.
Lets get back to the game thread.

Yeah, you can differentiate between the Toms... although it might be a little confusing at first. Here's how we did it at the gaming club we used to go to: Me - Ancient Tom (on account of he thinks I'm really, really old... [wait till he experiences Phil!! ) Tom - Young Tom (or Foetal Tom, or Young Apprentice, or something else equally disparaging to his age [he's in his twenties, FFS!!!] ) He DOES know his roleplaying, though although he's never actually played D&D (the state of youth today... :

Welcome Foetal Tom! I'm not suggesting we spend all of the cash on CLW potions*. Probably one each and say three spare? *I fully accept that I might (not) live to regret this decision...

13 Potions then? No worries.
The point I was making old Tom, is that I dont think young Tom had played in play by forum before. He seems to be getting a hang of it, already.......
