OOC: Couple of points/clarification...
1. Summon Monster is just that - a celestial dog. Only one, I'm afraid... but it's better than none.
2. Not altogether sure if light can be cast from Mage hand, or if it has to be cast, then transported to the target... Paul, there's a point - could Zeric cast Light on, say, a copper piece? Then have the mage hand carry it in its closed fist? Then, once it's in position right above and in front of the drow, it can open, hopefully blinding their sensitive eyes...
3. Always ready with the magic missiles - the spell that keeps on giving!
I'll go with the Burning hands option, too - should at least be good for another momentary flash, causing them to close their eyes...
ALTERNATIVELY...
If we're staying put in the room, fighting from the doorway...
The above still applies - MM, BH and Light are still as effective, especially if Light can be combined with Mage Hand as per the above. The Summon Monster could work form inside the room, too.
On that subject, are we decided if we're going with in the room, or the corridor for definite?
The Dwarf's BBN rage will be useful in terms of shock value, especially in conjunction with Cathmhaol's sword/shield combo, Dace's sneak attacks (thrown dagger) and Delora for relieving tiring fighters. Question: Does Aribella have any protection from /repulsion of EVIL spells? Anything that could aid us? What does her God do for her?

Thats a creative and interesting use of a spell, try it and see
Its a Zeric's signature spell!
Its an idea, as above an intriguing and different use of a spell./
I think for Cath, his combo will be much more interesting, if he takes shield as a weapon proficiency (shield bash). The dwarf will get better, there is an overall direction with him.
I don think that Aribella currently has spells, her protections and things she gets from her god affect evil summoned creatures, rather than creatures who are selfish and cruel.
Oh and some great ideas in there. Want to decide on one plan and let me know

OOC:
As Dace I'm sticking with what I've suggested. Even though this is OOC, I'm keeping all my previous suggestions up as they're what Dace would suggest.
Also, Monster Summoning... One creature can make the difference between life and death.
I've said my bits, I'm now waiting on orders.

OOC: If it's any help, Rumbleskin would definitely be for taking the fight to them rather than waiting...
Other than that, I'm the same as Dace, really... Said my bit and ready to go now

As I was away for a day thought Id add in some more comment.... Fantastic idea, that works and it could be worth a few XP. He cant send a globe of light/ He needs something like continual light or continual flame to do that. I did ask what spells Zeric needed for level 2. The description of the light spell is as follows his spell causes an object to glow like a torch, shedding bright light in a 20-foot radius (and dim light for an additional 20 feet) from the point you touch. The effect is immobile, but it can be cast on a movable object. Light taken into an area of magical darkness does not function. A light spell (one with the light descriptor) counters and dispels a darkness spell (one with the darkness descriptor) of an equal or lower level. Arcane Material Component
A firefly or a piece of phosphorescent moss. They are looking to take out spell management in 4th ed. After reading this and some the creactivity thats now enforcing, it could be a bad idea. Thats a fair guess IMHO They are currently heading north but came from the west. Also remember that the whole area is under drow control so they have made plans for incursions. They are wanting to hold this area for a number of reasons, Ill be playing them as smart as I can. Currently youve only really met, low level guards (not that Im trying to make you more worried )

OOC: OK, shall we go then? I'd like to Claymore the fuck out of them but don't think we've the time unless someone can put it together as we go along. If Zeric can cast his magic light spell to distract them, let's get out there and maim them before they can recover and call for reinforcements.

OOC: Does Zeric know about the black powder that Cathmhaol has? If so, would he have the knowledge to offer the suggestion as to what to use it for?

OOC: I'm ready to go... As for specifics, Rumblie will try and dispatch the drow infront of him as quickly as possible - brute force over finesse (as always) - and then peg it out of the door and back the way we came, looking to charge strait into the southern line of drow and 'hug him some dark elves'

In absence of orders, Dace is going to prepare to cut a way through the southern group.

OOC: If Zeric knows the properties of black powder, then he'll take the black powder, stick it in a bag, surround it with coins, shards of metal and stones, splinters of wood, etc. Then he'll tear a strip off his shirt and soak it in lantern oil, placing it carefully into the powder, close the bag. When we're ready, light the blue touchpaper, have one of the warriors (stronger arms) launch it towards the drow and shut the door. Once we hear the bang, we go... How's that sound?

OOC - Zeric recognises it as Gond Black Powder, he knows its properties.
You also have a drow still to kill.

OOC:
Christ, I'd forgotten all about him!!
In that case, we have a prisoner we could use as a hostage
(Having said that, Dace would just want to kill him as he'd be sure the Drow wouldn't go for it.)

You also have a drow still to kill. Zeric, seeing there was but one drow left in the room, stepped inside, announcing, " We have more company on the way lads and lassies... Cathmhaol! Give me that sack of black powder, I have an idea!" OOC: Assuming he complies...He took the sack from the warrior and quickly, but carefully placed it inside his hastily-emptied leather satchel. He tore a short strip from the bottom of his shirt and soaked it in lantern oil and carefully began packing coins and debris into the bag around the sack of black powder, making sure there was plenty of hard material* that would hopefully be sent flying by the ignited powder. Satisfied, he wrapped the bag up tightly** after placing the oil-soaked cloth into the sack, leaving one end trailing out. Finished, he gathered the items from the emptied satchel and made a bundle of his cloak to contain them. OOC: Hopefully, by this time, the drow will be dead... He handed the bag off to the nearest warrior-type with the instructions, " Light the oil-soaked cloth, open the door and launch the bag at the group of drow that we're breaking through. Then, shut the damned door and cover your ears... Oh, and get behind something heavy! Be ready to move when you hear a loud bang! Understand?" OOC2: * Including weapons, quarrels and stuff that can be grabbed quickly from the dead drow...
** Using the straps that normally rest on the shoulder. The tighter, the better...
