Date : Ches the 8th, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.) Location :The Dungeon of the Rotting Scales Time : Midnight Weather: Unknown, your inside. [/b] The corridor is lit by some torches every ten feet or so. The torches are fixed to alternating walls giving a good level of light throughout. The corridor its self is roughly cut from the rock of the hill, it certainly wasn't cut by dwarves or gnomes, suggesting that cheap labour was used for this task. However the most striking feature of the place is the smell. Rot. Like rotting vegtables, mixed with rotting flesh with a damp and musty feel to it. The immediate reaction of all is to cover your nostrils with your hand. The corridor continues for about one hundred or so feet before turning to the right, you cant really see any further in the light. OOC- Ill need the party order, what your carrying. Weapons of choice, etc, etc. If we can do that in character, I think that would work well. The map is shown below I hope it looks OK

"Zeric," said Cathmhaol quietly, "Can yer flyin' cat scout ahead so we don't walk into an ambush?"

Realising he no longer needed the lantern, Dace shut it off and spent a few seconds securing it tight against his pack so it made no noise. Leaving his weapons sheathed, he leant close to Cathmhaol's ear and whispered "Want me to scout ahead?"

"Zeric," said Cathmhaol quietly, "Can yer flyin' cat scout ahead so we don't walk into an ambush?" " Very well..." Zeric answered. He took the tressym off his shoulder and began whispering instructions to her, " Go ahead, stay to the shadows and keep your step light. Report anything to me. Stay safe!"

Zeric sent the tressym off into the gloom, maintaining his mental link with nary a trace of effort, so close was the bond between man and animal. He held his shortspear in his right hand and declared after a short time, "As far as she can tell, the cavern is clear. Lead on, oh great leader..."

After about one hundred feet or so the passageway turns around to the right at an angle close to forty five degrees. At the turn the roof of the cavern soars upwards creating a natural cavern opening out. IT looks like the picture below. In the corner of the cavern a green moss glows giving the room a greenish glow. A pool of water lies on the floor below it. OOC- Actions please

Dace kept his position, hands hovering near the hilts of his swords. Spotting something obvious marked upon the wall, he "Hmm"ed. "What do you make of this?"OOC- I added in the pic, so that dace doesnt have to find it - DM

Zeric looked at the symbol, then drew in a sharp breath, "It's the symbol of Moander, Cath... the dead God of rot and corruption. That explains a lot..."
OOC: Assume that the tressym will scout ahead unless specifically told otherwise.

"Aye, he's right y'know. Moander was killed a few years back and his worshipers went elsewhere. Tho' I hear he's still worshiped in savage lands. " commented Vane
"The smell in 'ere may indicate this as one of his shrines. I hope not but tis possible"
