Rumbleskin nodded to Dace and his companion and motioned them to take a seat...
"You must tell me where ye go t'bathe Dace lad... Never know WHAT ye come back wi'" grinned Rumbleskin. "Nae disrespect lass, 'tis purley tae see Dace blush"
"Anyroad, the others are nae back yet so take a stool an' ha' a drink wi' a rusty old Dwarf fer a space... Mayhap ye kin be tellin' me iff'n there be anything better'n this yere tavern fer a displaced Dwarf in this here place"

<Rumbleskin> Rumbleskin nodded to Dace and his companion and motioned them to take a seat... "You must tell me where ye go t'bathe Dace lad... Never know WHAT ye come back wi'" grinned Rumbleskin. "Nae disrespect lass, 'tis purley tae see Dace blush""Anyroad, the others are nae back yet so take a stool an' ha' a drink wi' a rusty old Dwarf fer a space... Mayhap ye kin be tellin' me iff'n there be anything better'n this yere tavern fer a displaced Dwarf in this here place"The comment made to Dace went right over his head. Turning to Maylene he said "Nope, meant nothing to me either. I think he wants us to sit down."Taking a seat by the Dwarf, he ordered a beer for himself and whatever Maylene and Rumbles were drinking. "I've known Maylene for a while, so it's not like I found her in the bath." he smiled warmly at Rumbleskin. During the conversation with Rumbleskin, Dace looked around at any other patrons, sizing them up, appraising them. "So anyway. When the others get back, how much of your borrowed gold do you want to bet we don't get the full story, blow by blow?" he grinned.

<Rumbleskin>
Rumbleskin laughed as Dace and his companion sat down, not because he got the joke, but because it seemed the correct response...
"I be thinkin' that we'll get th' abridged and 'ye be newbies' version so's not t' burden ourselves un-necc" *hic* "unneck" *hic* *shrug* "Fer nowt..." stammers the Dwarf...
"So, what's new?"

Dace sighed and rolled his eyes at his female companion. "Not much. Best wait for the others, I guess."
He continued surveying the bar and its other occupants, wondering if Maylene was going to speak.

Zeric strode lightly into the dining hall some time later, dinner looked to be around halfway through, judging by the detritus on the plates in front of Cathmhaol.
He walked over and took a seat opposite Cath, smiling as he sat.
He waited for an opportune moment and said, "Whilst either Myrmidion, nor the Clerics of Helm are unable to completely cure the Shade's affliction, they are hopeful they can arrest the progress somewhat to allow some grace in seeking a cure or means of defeating the curse."
He reached out to Tress, feeding her a tidbit of rabbit he had plucked from the salver upon the table, "Such is my lot, Cath. I must bear it, for now. E'en though it seeks to destroy my soul."
He loaded his plate. Though never a hearty eater, the young sorceror seemed somewhat invigorated, tucking in with gusto to a shank of rare lamb. Occasionally, he fed the tressym from his fork.
He wiped his mouth with a napkin fastidiously, "I must return upon the morrow to undergo the treatment, but I ask now, when shall we seek young Gari? And what of you, Delora? Will you accompany us in the quest?"

"No Zeric I am not. Im staying here. There is too much death already in my family. Lord Nasher has offered me a place here in his castle, at my own request and Id be a fool to refuse" she smiled sweetly at the sorcerer

Your participation has always been born of necessity, rather than a desire for adventure. I, for one will miss you. It will not be the same waking of a morning to Cath's hairy features without one such as yourself to mitigate that horror..." The sorceror winked at Cathmhaol to show he was joking (mostly) and continued, " I wish you luck and good health until we can once more say Well Met!"

"Aye, likewise," said Cathmhaol, "I'll miss ye, lassie. Ye ever were better lookin' than this streak o' piss," and he smiled at Zeric to show that he had no hard feelings. He look another couple of mouthfuls of food then pushed his plate away. "I'm stuffed," he said, "I've not eaten that in months." He stifled a belch and continued, "We'll beg yer leave now lassie, don't forget us. We'll be back around this way in time, an' we'll be wantin' t' know ye're doing well." "Right then, Zeric - we'll be off. We'd better go an' see what trouble the others ha' gotten into w'out us t' guide 'em..."

Zeric smiled, "Streak of piss? My Cathmhaol, you are really pushing out the boat with your ever-expanding vocabulary of insults for your friends. Very well! Let us depart to the Mask, to return upon the morrow."
The unusually positive mood sat like unfamiliar clothing upon the sorceror, but it seemed to agree with him.

Leaving the castle was an arduous task for the adventurers, it was the first time in weeks they had felt welcome. The first time in weeks they had felt as if they were home. The first time in weeks, they had had a decent meal. Also leaving behind the teenager, was a hardship. The girl cried as the adventurers, left stood in the door with the Lord Nasher's Magician, Myrmidion. Waving the adventurers off through her tears she just smiled
The trip to the Mask was the same as the trip from their to the castle. The group, now without Delora, was given to sitting in silence in the horseless carriage. They all entered the Mask, heading to the bar, where they saw Dace, Rumpleskin and a foppish young woman in conversation.
OOC- I was going to have a huge post, but Ill skip and forward to the Mask. If you want to tie up any loose ends, ill then move it to the docks in the morning.

Dace looked up as the others entered, nodding in their direction and smiling. He didn't really take in that Delora wasn't with them, instead standing and waving over the barkeep and gesturing to indicate he wanted more drinks all around.

Zeric greeted Dace, Rumbleskin and the unfamiliar girl with a smile, "Mulled wine, if you're buying, Dace. I see you managed to find company in my absence."

The young caravan guard coughed on his wine. "Oh I'm sorry, my manners. Zeric, Cath, this is Maylene. Maylene, these two are from a group called the Daggers. Maylene's an old friend."
He looked around. "Uh, Delora?"
