"Not that I have to answer to you? But I dont believe so, I acquired them through an old contact. Who I worked with in the past, she has been very profitabe in the past." Replied the fat merchant. "You can relax I have no quarrel with you sir."
Turning to his guards he says "Keep an eye on him lads, but stand down. No need for any hostilities, eh Boys?"

"Aye, I'll tell ye", said Cathmhaol. "Someone's been kidnapping young lads from the town an' the Baron's got me an' my lads lookin' out for the culprits. Now these fella's", he indicated the drugged youths on the back of the cart, "obviously ain't goin' along o' their own free will, so what say we turn the cart around, head back to town and sort all this out?"

The man stopped the cart and untied the drugged men, half pushing them on to the ground. "There you are stranger, you can have them. They are more trouble than they are worth. " and with that he whiped his horses and off he went leaving the two men behind, sat in the mud on their backsides.

Cathmhaol stood and watched as the cart and the three men made its way down the road and out of sight. He gave a low whistle, summoning Garri from the trees.
He stooped, drew his knife and cut the bonds around the youths ankles and wrists. He patted them gently on the face to start to bring them around.
He stood up as Garri jogged up. "Keep an eye out an' make sure they don't come back", he ordered the young thief, nodding down the road. He looked down at the barely stirring youths and sighed, "The bastard could have left his cart!"

"Aye Boss. Whits Next?" Replied Garri as he ran up the road to check on the departing cart, leaving his horse at Cathmhaol's side.
OOC- if you can work out what you want to do with the two men, we can progress on from there.

Cathmhaol knelt down and took a closer look at the two youths. He lifted their eyelids to check their pupils and sighed with disgust when he realised that they wouldn't come around any time soon.
Garri returned ten minutes later to find Cathmhaol trying to manhandle the youths onto his horse. "Gi' me a hand, youngster", grumbled Cathmhaol, "Yer damned animal won't keep still..."
Ignoring Garri's reproachful stare, Cathmhaol managed to swing the second youth across the horse's back and he secured him to the saddle with a lanyard to make sure he wouldn't fall off.
Cathmhaol swung up onto his own horse and took the reins of Garri's mount. "Gee up!" he urged the horse, nudging his own forward with his knees. He moved off down the road with the horse, the youths and Garri trailing in his wake.
An hour later they approached the gates, and Cathmhaol saw some familiar figures in the distance. "Be ready, lad", he said, "I don't expect trouble but don't relax, just in case". As he drew level with the gate guards, he knew he wouldn't have any bother.
"Afternoon, Mardwell. I see ye caught up wi' Sir Kendrick. Gi' him a good thrashin', did ye?" The missing teeth, black eye and bruises told him it was the exact opposite that had happened. Mardwell blushed as the rest of his watch sniggered, except Erris who looked to retort until Cathmhaol fixed him with a steely gaze.
"Well, if that's all, I'll bid ye gents farewell", said Cathmhaol pleasantly and urged his horse forward. Once clear of the guards, he said, "We'll go to the Lady Luck, Garri. Ye can put yer feet up and we'll see what these lads ha' t' say for themselves.."

Date : Ches the 3rd, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.)Location : The River Shinning Tavern Time : Late-afternoon Weather: Sunny but cold
You arrive at the Tavern in the late afternoon, the sun low in the eastern sky. In the western sky Selune is big, bright and bold. A crowd begins to develop, looking at the four men on top of two exhausted horses.
The pair draped over the horses are starting to stir, waking up from their drugged induced coma. "Wha.... Where in Chauntea's name are we?" Exclaimed the one on Cathmhaol's horse looking up at the fighter, with panic and worry.

OOC: There's not four men on the horses. Cathmhaol made Garri walk! ;D
"Ye're safe now lad, thanks t' me an' the youngster here", said Cathmhaol, loosing the lanyard that held the youth to the horse and helping him down. The youth's legs buckled and Cathmhaol reached out and grabbed him before he fell to the floor, "Wooah, there!" he said, "Get a-hold o' me an' we'll get ye inside. Grab t' other fella, Garri!" he ordered and he pushed open the door of the tavern.
He helped the lad to a table and signalled for drinks to be brought over. The lad gulped his drink, then coughed as the rough spirit caught his throat. "Steady, lad, steady!" said Cathmhaol, smacking him heartily on the back.
"Now then", said Cathmhaol as the coughing subsided, "Why don't you tell us how ye got into this mess?"

"Its very hazy" replied the taller of the two young men. " We were in here, the River Shinning talking to an exotic woman. Ill tell you, she was gorgeous and she was laying it all out for us.."
He smiles broadly "Well I guess we should have known it was too good to be true. As we bought the drinks, we seemed to get more and more drunk. I think I blacked out then. I dont really remember much till we came back here. Except now I have a splittting headache."
The smaller broader young man nodded "She was tall, about the same height as a small man.A brunnette and she was exotic, from the east some where. I think, I blacked out at much the same time as he did"
