The startled man looked around as the young theif sat down. "I ha some gear I need to get rid of and ye probably ken me from Vontann? "The weasely looking man "Yes lad I remember. Now what do you really want and whose this man is he your new handler? I dont recognise him from the Brotherhood. Your name is?" he asked pointedly at Cathmhaol.

"I'm Cathmhaol. I'm not from the Brotherhood..." He raised his hand and pointed at his seat as Bartholemew began to rise. "Hey, ye don't be goin' anywhere - just hear me out, eh?" he said, and he took the stool opposite the thief.
"There's a lad I'm tryin' t' find who's a mate o' Vontann. He's in the shit an' I'm tryin t' get his sorry arse out o' it, though he don't know that yet", Cathmhaol explained. "If'n I can't get it sorted, my friend Darryl's gonna see his tavern go up in smoke, cos he's gettin' the blame for what this lads gone an' done".
Cathmhaol sat back and took a drink of his ale. "So, Bartholemew - can ye help us? Do ye know where Vontann is?"

The wiry gentleman spoke "Vontann had to leave town, hell not be back this year. Look your plight might interest US. Maybe you can tell US who it is you want, then maybe we can talk about how we can get them back for you? Agreed?"

Cathmhaol looked at Bartholemew for a long moment then nodded his head. "Aye, ok", he said. He took another swallow from his ale and continued. "Ye'll know there's talk o' young lads disappearin' from the town. Two o' them, Talf and Ellonn, went missin' from the Lady Luck t'other night. They'd gone wi' this dark haired lass that's not been long in town. Some o' the lads in town were talkin' about gettin' there own back and now one o' the Red Wizards, a lad called Cadzeus has gone missin'".
"Now the wizards ha' threatened to burn the 'Luck down if their lad isn't returned and I'm a mate o' Darryl and wouldn't want to see him come to no harm. The ringleader o' the gang was a lad called Ibron - he's one of Oleg's boys - but when we went t' see him he took flight. I just need to ha' a word wi' him and sort this business out afore the wizards start gettin' arsey!"
His explanation finished, Cathmhaol sat back. "So Bartholemew, what d' ye think? Can ye help us?"

"Right, yes we may be able to. Shall we say that Ibron is affiliated to the Brotherhood and may be currently engaged in Brotherhood business. It seems to us that these WIZARDS are currently engaged in an infringement into the 'Hoods endevours. So maybe that there has been some punitive action taken against them." The little man smiled
"Now it is not in the 'Hoods interest to infringe on others legitimate business. Especially when they pay us a premium for Insurance. If I engage in discussions with the 'Hood on your behalf, maybe we can come to an arrangement thats mutually beneficial?? But first I think you'd have to find out where and what they have done with the missing boys? Agreed?" The man wrung his hands in pleasure, smiling whilst revealing his teeth, which were full of gaps.

"That rather depends upon what ye have in mind...", said CAthmhaol suspiciously.

"Weeeeeell, I think the 'Hood would prefer you to find the lads first and negociate a release. The 'Hood would then meet you at a predetermined point and swap **ahem** captives..." He smiled at the two "Sowhat do you say? Lads?"

"Aye, I see how that could work...", said Cathmhaol thoughtfully. "We could use a head start though, so have ye any idea where this lassie can be found?"

"Id have thought that was obvious, start with the Wizards themselves? Go to their compound and see what you can find out." the weasely man winked

Resisting the urge to batter the man to a pulp, Cathmhaol smiled stiffly, drained his ale and climbed to his feet. "Aye, as good a place as any", he said through gritted teeth, "Come, Garri",he said and headed towards the door.
He cursed halfway across the town before he ran out of steam. "That cheeky bastard! I ought t've punched his lights out!" he grumbled.

Date : Ches the 3rd, Year of the the Rogue Dragons (1373 D.R.) Location : A crossroads on the road between Cromm's Hold and Daggerford Time : Mid-afternoon Weather: Sunny but cold
Making your way to the Wizards Enclave, about a mile along the muddy road to Cromm' Hold. The road is joined at an intersection by another trail running north to south. At this junction you notice that recently that two sets of cart tracks have recntly passed here. The first set of cart tracks looks like it had two sets of horses pulling it. It had come from the West (Cromm's Hold) stopped here and then headed back towards the West, but seem to be not quite as deep as they were before. The second sret of tracks cross from the north getting deeper at the junction, before continuing south.
Garri points to the tracks, "Boss, tracks are less than an hour old. Weird aren't they?"

"Aye", said Cathmhaol, stooping to examine the tracks, "Somebody's swapped sommat over 'tween the carts". He looked around to see if there was any clue about who was involved.
He looked up at the sky, trying to judge the time whilst pondering which of the tasks before him - the Baroness, the Wizards or the mysterious cart - needed his attention first.
OOC: What time of day is it?

OOC - its somewhere between 1pm and 2pm maybe a little later.
"Boss, I reckon the cart has 'bout an hour start on us. Its pretty heavily laden, so we'd prob'ly catch up with it pretty quick. " Commented Garri.

"Aye, I reckon ye're right", said Cathmhaol. He looked at the young thief, "Well, what are ye standin' around for? Move yerself!" and he set off after the cart at a swift pace.

Within twenty minutes you had caught up with the Cart, it has three men riding up front. A Fat man sat in the middle of two more athletic men, all are dressed fairly exotically carrying curved swords. In the back of the cart are two men tied together lying down.
The cart is about ten or so yards away and is still headed south.
