"Oh it's in all the tales it is. The Spellbane Crossroad is one of the first major places in the Undermountain. It's not as well known as Skullport obviously but being the first major choice it features heavily in most of the tales. I mean Myrrath the Magnificient always argued that his choice to head west to the Hall of Mirrors and it's many gates was what started him out on his path to power. Of course that was before he got negated in the Black Curtains so I guess in the end his path to power was more his own personal trip up the Falling Stair as they say" Milo recites with a little giggle.
"Wait, that dwarf said what?" Milo asked as he suddenly noticed everybody else was dashing off with their weapons out. Deciding to help out he pulled the sling from his belt and set it to twirling as he scurried forward to try and find a vantage point.
OOC: he's heading for roughly where E & R are/were on the map so he can see into the room but isn't too close.

Cathmhaol slipped through the door after the dwarf, readying his sword and shield as he spied the Orcs on the other side of the room.
OOC: What are the Orcs armed with? How much of the floor area do the caltrops cover?
PS. Sorry for my lack of posts - busy weekend at the UK Games Expo!

If Dace is already moving by the time Rumblie gets there then he'd wait for the caravan guard to get out of the way.
If not, Rumbleskin would brush past in order to get into a scrap...

Dace flowed up and through the door and stepped to one side, two knives flashing from his sleeves and at one of the Orc warriors, drawing his swords as they left the area in front of him... He was inwardly pleased to see the Dwarf rush through to act as a barrier the second afterwards, hopefully giving him time to put up a better attack.

OOC: It looks like the caltrops are mainly behind the Orcs, so Cathmhaol will push home his attack, forcing them backwards if poss.

Dace ran forward quicker than ever, a dagger in each hand, as he came through the door he launched both daggers through the air towards the orcs, as the humanoids turned around. The right hand dagger struck the first orc in the chest, the left hand dagger missing another orc's head by inches. He reached the orcs quickly, dodging one attack from one then the other.
Rumbleskin came forward next, hammer and axe in hand, he followed Dace after the orcs. Parrying the blades of the orc with his hammer he took a swing with his axe, the edge just missing the humanoids jerkin by inches. The he brought his hammer round smashing it into the chest of the lightly armoured orc, the humanoid's chest crushed it collapsed into a heap on the ground.
Cathmhaol charged forward trying to push the orcs back with th assualt, moving slower trying to get used to his new magical armour. Even though it weighed less than the old one. He parried the blade of the orc on his shield the metal agaisnt metal ringing out. Thrusting his blade, he pushed it into the orc, its chest already with a dagger embeded in it. Killing the orc his blade embedded in it.
The third orc outgunned and outnumbered, turned towards the door hoping to get out.
OOC- actions?
one orc left. Maylene, xand and the others will enter this round....

Contemplating jumping the bodies of the orcs - and no doubt impaling himself on the caltrops - Dace settled for dropping his swords, quick-drawing two daggers and hurling them at the back of the fleeing Orc... If nothing else he hoped to give the Orc pause; after all, the caltrops would work in the group's favour too and hopefully slow him...

"Stop him!" ordered Cathmhaol as he put his foot on the lifeless Orc before him and pulled his blade out.

Timing it carefully, Rumbleskin waited until Dace's daggers flew past before throwing himself bodily at the Orc, attempting to wrestle it to the ground and attempted to grind his jagged, rusty armour into the orc.
