The man called Durstar, stood at the entrance to the ship. "Hurry up we needs to catch the tide, Cap'n" he yelled to the foot of the gangway. After the group was on board, the captain ran up the gantry.
"Mr Durstar, lets set off. Have the passengers decided whose sharing yet?"

Zeric stepped forwards, "I am with Cathmhaol. Dace will share with his lady friend and Rumbleskin Ironeater with Eneval, Captain."
The sorceror indicated each as he named them, then asked, "When do you anticipate that we reach Waterdeep, Captain?"

Dace, not one to smile or laugh in public, let a chuckle escape. "I wonder how long it is," he said sidelong to the others, loud enough for Eneval and Rumbleskin to hear, "since two of their kind shared a bunk."
He boarded behind his colleague, heading to their room when instructed, and carrying out his usual routine therein...

" the Captain replied.

<Rumbleskin>
Muttering under his beard at Dace's comments, the Dwarf threw the caravan guard a black look before grumbling: "Well he'd best not be snorin' , that's all I have te say on th' matter" before turning and winking in an exaggerated 'I'm joking, but let's see if we can wind up the Elf some' kind of way.

OOC: This is great! Zeric makes the decision and Dace takes the flak for it! Fabuloso!

The Captain took Cathmhaol's hand tight "Captain Hrong. Owner of the Ocean's Moon. " he said officially "Im sure they'll be no problem. We run a tight ship, any trouble and they will walk the plank" he roared with manic laughter
"Only joking" he added with a smile

Cathmhaol shook Hrung's hand firmly. "Good to hear it, Cap'n," he said with a tight grin.
He looked over to the rest of the Daggers. "Right lads, get yer stuff stowed an' back on deck. Fresh air'll do ye good."

"I am Zeric of Westview, Captain. I am the second in command of Cromm's Daggers and a sorceror by profession," the young man offered.
He took his gear and followed the crewman who led him to the cabin he'd share with Cathmhaol for the duration of their journey to The City of Splendours and their rendezvous with Garri the Quick.

Nodding at the Captain, Dace moved past him, leading his female companion, down into the ship and to their room.

"Well, elf. looks like it be me an' thee... C'mon said the dwarf as he picked up his kit. Nodding to the captain, Rumbleskin says: "Rumbleskin Ironeater o' Clan Ironeater. Along for the ride, so to speak" and offers his gauntleted hand to the captain in welcome...

Cathmhaol looked around the cabin he was to share with Zeric.
The cabin was about 6ft wide by 6ft square, and he had to slouch to avoid banging his head on the planks of the deck above. The gap between the two bunks was about 18 inches apart, a fact Cathmhaol learned when he caught his shin as he walked in. "Looks cozy," he winced depreciatively.
"D' ye want port or starboard?" said Cathmhaol pointing to the bunks, "Or is it starboard or port?" He shrugged and scratched his head. "Ye just choose one, i'm not fussy..."

" That it does..." " Between ye and me, Cath, I'll settle for left an' right," he said, scratching his head as he sat on the right hand bunk. He bent to look under the bunk and found a broad, low chest which he pulled out. Opening the lid, he found it empty, asking, " Footlocker?" Without awaiting a reply, he stowed his satchel in the chest, before replacing it under the bunk. He plucked a hair from his head and wrapped it around the hasp. Seeing Cathmhaol's look, he explained, " You cannot be too careful with sailors around..."
