With an exhalted bellow of "Clan Ironeater says EAT IRON", Rumbleskin ran into his next available target, ignoring any incoming attacks and continuing with his unorthadox combat style.

Cathmhaol merely grunted in reply, saving his energy for the fight. He kept his shield ready to parry a further attack by the dagger, flicked his sword as if to attack then drove a steel shod boot into the drow's left knee, seeking to cripple his assailant.

The sound of the warriors revenge was floating around the room, steeling the hearts and minds of the adventurers. The rousing tune, now starting its second verse, more than reassuring the adventurers that they could face more dark elves or worse if they came.
Moving quickly, as usual, Dace rained blows on his opponent. The Drow twisting, turning, feinting and parrying trying to avoid the hard blows of the human caravan guard until finally a blow came from Dace's longsword. A streak of silver and gold coming down in an overhand arc cleaving through the dark elf's helmet striking his head, the drow falling to the ground. Now without an opponent the Caravan Guard moved forward, hoping to kill another of the elves.
Th dwarf Rumpleskin, watched his opponent fall. He rushed forward before Dace, hoping to gain another kill. Rushing the first of the crossbow wielding drow. The dwarf with a look of battle-lust written across the his face The Drow, raising his crossbow in his left hand, levelled the weapon releasing a bolt at the Dwarf. The bolt struck the chest of the Rumpleskin not penetrating his heavy armour, but still lodged in his chest, the dwarf both weapons raised leapt the final few feet to the drow swinging his hammer and axe wildly hoping to connect with the unfortunate dark elf. Missing with both of his weapons against the dark elf, his opponent retailiated with his rapier. Trying to puncture the armour of the dwarf with its tip. The unable to do so, his rapier bending as he stabbed on the armour of the dwarf. The weapon flexing back into shape as the Drow pulled its arm and hand back.
Cathmhaol parried the blow upon blow of the rapier on his sword looking for an opening to exploit, with his patient combat style. Maneuvering the dark elf round gained from years of caravan and tavern fighting, the adventurer exposed the drows left leg kicking out at it a crack is heard from his agile opponent bringing the elf to his knees. The creature yelling in pain unable to do anything more, rolled on floor. A couple of bolt were loosed from the horn carrying drow flew towards the warrior hoping to catch him unawares. Just in the nick of time the warrior spotted the bolts and raised his shield, ducking down behind it as the two bolts lodged into it.
Zeric chanted again, oblivious to the battle around him standing in the doorway. He blocked the enetrance of both Delora and Aribella into the room. Accessing the weaved he moulded the magical energy into another two missile shapes, throwing them across the room at the drow who had just held the horn to it mouth. The missile struk the elf, the dark creature falling to the floor.
From behind Zeric, Aribella shouted ”We have company coming, at least another six from the south” “With another six from the north,” replied Delora, adding to the worry.

OOC- I think you'll need to think about this somewhat. Here's a map of the area and what's happening. Rewards for good planning and play ;D

OOC: Has Zeric got a useful area-effect spell?
We've a couple of choices - fight them in the corridor, back to back next to the door, allowing us to swap if someone gets tired or injured. Alternatively, we retreat into the room and force them to come to us.
Thoughts?

Zeric nodded, "I do have an area effect spell, but unfortunately, not until I rest, Cath... I vote for holding them at the door, use shields to keep them at bay if we need to swap out. I do think they'd be limited to two abreast in thon corridor, anyway, but I still say the doorway's the best option... I can pelt them with spells either way.

OOC: Anybody got a bow? Could we use it to shoot from behind those with the shields?

OOC: Hasn't Dace got a hand crossbow?

OOC- Zeric has no missile weapons Dace has a hand crossbow (which he got from guess where...), but he isnt proficient in it and throws daggers instead Cath has a heavy crossbow Bregl has a light crossbow and a whip which can be used in the same manner (as a missile weapon) Rumbleskin has no missile weapons Delora has a light crossbow Aribella has no missile weapon and may struggle with her 2 handed sword in a corridor like that.
Also just remember how the drow have been fighting if your looking to trap them.

OOC: I'd suggest Rumbley heads to the North, Dace and Cathmahol to the South, fight them in the corridors and have Zeric, and anybody else as is able to, support us from the middle...
Then again, planning and strategy was never my strong point ;D

I think it would be better, if delora or aribella fought. The bard wont last long enough. If thats the method your going for. It is a lttle criptic. But would holding them in the corridor, allow only the front file/pairing to attack.

OOC: If I read that right, if we fight them in the corridor, we leave ourselves open to magic attacks from the drow. One alterative is to fall back to the room and invite them onto us, limiting the numbers of drow who can attack at any one time.
Thoughts, chaps?
